Rowse Double Bar Mower

Description

A Rowse double bar mower cuts both light and heavy crops across small and large acreages alike. Buyers choose between hydraulic-driven and PTO-driven versions, so the mower matches whatever power source the operation already runs. Because two sickle bars work at once, this mower covers more ground per pass than a single-bar unit. An automatic safety release protects both heavy-duty bars, and breakaway tension adjusts for different field conditions. In addition, each bar re-latches automatically once the operator backs the mower away from an obstruction. That combination keeps downtime low even in rough, obstacle-filled fields.

Operators can equip a Rowse double bar mower with an IH-style Balanced head or a New Holland-style Pitmanless head. The Balanced head runs just three moving parts on six tapered roller bearings for 2,000 strokes per minute. Meanwhile, the Pitmanless head reduces noise and vibration while cutting at 1,600 strokes per minute. Both bars raise hydraulically to a vertical position for easy transport and inspection. They also lower 20 degrees below ground level for cutting along ditch banks and terraces. Swath boards or swath rods separate cut and uncut crop, adjusting quickly for changing field conditions. Overall, a Rowse double bar mower delivers the versatility larger operations need.
