Fendt Optimum

Description

The Fendt Optimum is Fendt’s first-ever stack-fold planter, a clean-sheet design purpose-built for cotton, corn, sorghum, and soybeans in ridge-tilled, laser-leveled fields. Five configurations — from the 12-row FTPS12-30 up to the 16-row FTPS16-30 — let growers match row spacing and count to their exact ground. A stack-fold toolbar flexes at four points with wing downforce standard on every model, keeping planting depth consistent across the full width of the machine, while an optional Vertical Contouring Hitch adds even more terrain-following capability. Precision Planting® technology runs throughout, including vSet2® meters with vDrive®, DeltaForce® hydraulic downforce, FurrowForce® and Reveal® residue managers, and SpeedTubes® seed delivery, all displayed on the standard Precision 20|20® Gen3 monitor. Parallel Ag’s parts and service team is ready to help you configure the right Optimum for your operation.

Features

Fendt’s First Stack-Fold Planter

A Clean-Sheet Design
The Optimum is Fendt’s first stack-fold planter, engineered from the ground up rather than adapted from an existing frame.

Five Configurations, 12 or 16 Rows
From the 30-inch FTPS12-30 up to the 16-row FTPS16-30, growers can match row spacing and count to their exact operation.

Built for Ridge-Till and Bedded Fields
Designed specifically for cotton, corn, sorghum, and soybeans, the Optimum is purpose-built for ridge-tilled, laser-leveled fields without headlands.

Immediate-Turn Adaptability
Because bedded irrigation demands tight, immediate turning, the Optimum’s frame and hitch are engineered to keep up with that pace.

Stack-Fold Toolbar With Wing Downforce

Flexes at Four Points
The stack-fold toolbar flexes at four different points to follow ground contours instead of fighting them.

Wing Downforce Standard on Every Model
As a result, all row units stay properly weighted and in the ground across the full width of the machine.

Consistent Planting Depth
Because downforce and flex work together, seed goes in at a uniform depth from row to row.

Optional Vertical Contouring Hitch
For even more terrain-following capability, the hitch option moves the toolbar up and down and tilts it forward and back.

Precision Planting® Row Unit Technology

vSet2® Meters With vDrive®
Electrically driven vSet2 meters singulate seed independently row by row, rather than relying on one shared drive line.

DeltaForce® Hydraulic Downforce
On top of the standard wing downforce, DeltaForce adjusts each row unit’s down-pressure automatically as soil conditions change.

FurrowForce® and Reveal® Residue Managers
Together, these systems clear residue and firm the furrow wall so seed makes solid, consistent seed-to-soil contact.

SpeedTubes® Seed Delivery
Even at higher planting speeds, SpeedTubes keep seed spacing accurate instead of letting it bounce or tumble on the way down.

Flexible Seed Tank Options

55-Bushel Center Fill Station
The Center Fill Station option holds 55 bushels of seed, so growers can cover more acres between refills.

Or Individual Row-Unit Hoppers
For operations that prefer it, row-unit seed hoppers are also available in place of the center-fill tank.

Less Downtime During Planting
Either way, fewer stops to refill mean more hours actually spent in the ground during a tight planting window.

Configured to Match the Operation
Because both options are available across the lineup, growers can choose the setup that fits how they already run their planting season.

Precision 20|20® Gen3 Monitor

Standard on Every Configuration
The Precision 20|20 Gen3 monitor comes standard equipment across the full Optimum lineup.

Real-Time Row-by-Row Visibility
From the cab, operators can see population, downforce, and singulation performance as they plant.

Catch Problems Before They Cost Yield
Because issues show up in real time, operators can adjust settings before a bad run turns into a bad stand.

One Display, Full Machine Control
In short, the monitor ties metering, downforce, and row unit performance together in one place.

Built for High-Value Row Crops

Purpose-Built for Cotton, Corn, Sorghum, and Soybeans
Unlike a general-purpose planter, the Optimum is engineered specifically around these four crops and their planting demands.

Row Spacing From 30 to 40 Inches
That range covers the spacing most common across cotton and row-crop operations in ridge-till country.

Engineered for Precision Seed Placement
As Fendt puts it, the Optimum is built “to deliver unmatched seed placement and agronomic performance at the highest level.”

A New Option for Delta and Southwest Growers
Stack-fold planters like the Optimum are especially popular across the Mississippi Delta, Oklahoma, Texas, and pockets of Nebraska.
