Description
The Sunflower 9421 is a two-section grain drill built as an economical alternative to a higher-priced split-row planter. Its narrow transport width makes it easier to move between fields than wide, rigid designs, and a simple fold system works with no electrical switches. In-line seed boxes help with filling and keep the openers aligned for uniform seed placement, with a full 8 inches of front-to-rear stagger between opener units. The all-purpose opener handles everything from no-till to conventional seeding, and nylon seed cups with six internal flutes meter a wide range of seeds gently. Low-profile seed boxes hold 3 bu. per foot with wider lids, while maintenance-free sprockets, chain, and spring-loaded drive wheels keep constant soil contact. Non-skid walk boards and heavy-duty ladders give operators safe access, and a tractor drawbar mount design keeps hookup simple.
