Description

The Sunflower 9412 is a three-point-mounted, all-purpose grain drill built as a heavyweight rigid seeder. It fits Category II or III tractor hitches, and operators can convert it to pull-type with Sunflower’s transport pull hitch if the tractor can’t handle the drill’s weight. It hand-adjusts from conventional seeding through no-till in heavy residue, making it one of the few mounted true no-till drills available. Optional marker assemblies with 15-inch blades help with pass-to-pass accuracy, and a clear plastic sight glass on each seed box lets operators check seed level without leaving the tractor seat. Low-profile seed boxes hold 2.4 bu. per foot, with seed rates set by a simple screw-type adjustment. Maintenance-free sprockets, chain, and spring-loaded drive wheels keep consistent soil contact, and the drive wheels slide on hex shafts to change row spacing. A transport safety light kit and SMV emblem come standard, along with non-skid walk boards and heavy-duty ladders for safe access.
